None of my torrents are downloading vuze

Even though I was careful declining all the "extras" during the installation prompts, Vuze STILL installed programs without my consent. I don't want a ton of other applications like Optimizer Pro. I've been downloading torrents on utorrent for many years, but since a couple of days now, most of the torrents I download just won't go past 0%. Not being able to seed comes from two possible situations: a) You’re not connectable. That is, certain port forwards are missing. There’s several ways through which this can happen (disable UPnP in the torrent client and/or in your router, fail to properly port forward in the router if you’re not using UPnP, you being behind a carrier-grade NAT which is actually something you can’t do anything about if it’s the case).
